Kristian is the Founder & CEO of the Institute of Sovereign Investors and was the inaugural CEO of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF). He has 30+ years of investment and policy experience and worked as Head of Reserve Management (CIO) at three central banks (Denmark, UAE, Botswana) managing up to $250 billion in assets. He also headed the investment activity at a Danish Fund Manager. In addition to IFSWF, his policy experience include the IMF and ECB, where he worked on sovereign asset & liability management and application of best practice with the authorities in six countries. Kristian is a frequent speaker, panelist and global thought leader at major global events. He holds an MBA from Aarhus University and a BSc in Finance from Copenhagen Business School. Kristian sits on major global advisory boards, including UNDRR (IAB), Tobacco Free Portfolios and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership.
