About Us

Advancing the philosophy and practice of sovereign capital

Who We Are

Established in 2026, the Institute of Sovereign Investors is an independent global platform focused on how sovereigns and their institutions deploy public capital and manage risk amid structural change. It exists to strengthen the quality of sovereign decision-making where it matters most: at the intersection of capital, policy, and long-term national outcomes.

Years Combined Experience

By invitation only, the Institute brings together current and former public- sector leaders with prominent academics and practitioners. This is deliberate. It ensures that analysis is grounded in experience, and that experience is tested through rigorous, independent thinking. The objective is not to add to commentary, but to inform decisions.

What We Do

The Institute converts experience into decision-relevant frameworks and engagement, focusing on the practical questions sovereigns face: how to manage risk under uncertainty, how to deepen domestic capital, how to design institutions that endure under stress, and how to align public capital with long-term outcomes. It does so as a curated, peer-level global network — combining access to sovereign decision-makers, engagement with leading researchers, and practitioner-led insight.

Why We Exist

The Institute's purpose is to advance the philosophy and practice of sovereign capital: how countries marshal, allocate, and govern financial and institutional resources to build resilience and generate public value. Its work covers the sovereign balance sheet—managing liabilities while strengthening the creation, deployment, and stewardship of public assets.
