James Hewitt is a GCC-based investment specialist with over 30 years of experience working with Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs), endowments, and institutional investors. He began his career in 1991 as a derivatives broker, later advising major European SWFs on front-to-back office structures and hedging strategies. From 2019-25, he was the Sr. Regional Director working on SWFs with Deloitte in the Middle East. As a Board Advisor to Eurex, James played a key role in fostering market development and building connections between Europe and the GCC. For the past two decades, he has worked closely with GCC SWFs, leading projects focused on SWF creation, operational transformation, and aligning portfolio companies’ investment practices with institutional governance and risk frameworks. James holds an MBA from Bayes Business School, has held global investment and broking licenses, and is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
