Ahmad M. A. Bastaki is the Executive Chairman of MABastaki Inc since September 2023.. Previously, he was at the Kuwait Investment Authority for more than three decades where he was the Executive Director of the Office of the Managing Director/Planning and Senior Management since 2006 and the Director since 1991. Ahmad was directly responsible for setting KIA’s successful strategy since inception. He was also instrumental in the establishment of various multilateral organisations such as the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) and the Santiago Principles (GAPP 24); the One Planet Sovereign Wealth Funds (OPSWF) initiative; amongst others. In 2023, the IFSWF recognized Ahmad for “outstanding leadership at the heart of the global sovereign wealth fund community”. Mr. Bastaki was/is on various Board of Directors of international entities covering investments, financials, banking, real estate and industrial sectors.
